Born in Lima, Peru, Marita Lynn got her start as a gourmet chef early in life. She grew up in a family that entertained frequently — and with gusto — which inspired Marita to try her hand at the culinary arts when she was only 14. She still remembers the flutter of excitement when she presented her first ceviche to her family.
After she and her family moved to the U.S., Marita decided to professionally pursue her life’s passion and attended the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, where she graduated with high honors. She then trained and worked at a number of highly acclaimed restaurants, including Jean Georges, Daniel Boulud’s Feast and Fetes Catering, The Ryland Inn, and The Bernards Inn in New Jersey.
Marita Lynn discovered her calling in creating the whole experience surrounding her gourmet cuisine, and she founded her full-service event planning and catering company in 2004. Marita Lynn Catering has been providing exquisite cuisine and service to private and corporate clients in New York and New Jersey ever since.
